02 | LAUNCHING FOR LONG-TERM SUCCESS

From Launch Readiness to Sustainable Operations

DISNEY CRUISE LINE | DISNEY ADVENTURE

THE CHALLENGE

Launching a new vessel requires more than preparing for opening day—it requires building the operational capability to support the experience long after launch.

As Disney Adventure prepared to enter service, I led sustainment readiness for my operation across a complex network of shoreside and shipboard partners, balancing immediate launch priorities with the need to establish a reliable long-term support model.

How do we meet the urgency of launch while building an operation designed to sustain what comes next?

THE STRATEGY

I built and strengthened the cross-functional partnerships connecting shipboard operations, product, logistics, and shoreside teams, creating an integrated approach to ordering, product movement, documentation, and operational support.

Following launch, I continued evolving the model—shifting the operation from reactive solutions toward more stable, planned sustainment while partnering across the business to address emerging operational needs and implement product improvements.

THE IMPACT

The work established a stronger foundation for Disney Adventure's transition from launch readiness to sustainable operations—strengthening partnerships, product support, and the operating model needed to evolve with the vessel over time.
